Winter lolita day 2010

This is my plan! I've got the skirt cut out, and it will be my first time using stretch knit for a top, so wish me luck! The scarf will come shortly after.

So far okay... but I've used up all my thread and will have to wait for some more. I'm really happy with it so far. the wine colored fabric sticking out from it is the lining. I'll be trimming it after the ruffles are added. Then it's just adding the zipper and making some lace for it.

Sorry for blurry. Cutsew coming along just fine! I'm excited. Also about happening to have the perfect color and shade lace.

anon helped me today. i dont have a walker foot for my machine, so i asked how to sew stretch-knit without one, without stretching out the fabric. Turns out tissue paper is not only good for patterning, but also for wrapping the fabric in to avoid stretch by the feed dogs of the machine. I'm really pleased with the results.

Not the best lace, but its still not TERRIBLE and it looks perfect imo

I still need to work on the cutsew, and i'm a bit irritated that the sleeves didn't poof like I planned, but I can always edit it in a later version.
I'm excited cause I even managed to get star earrings for it.
Skirt will be for sale later...
