I did a last minute costume of Roxy from the Scott Pilgrim comics and I ended up loving it, and I need to improve it some more.
I bought everything either at Value Village or from Bodyline, except the socks which a friend lent me.

At the con, this was easily my favorite costume because people actually recognized me haha. Apparently Roxy is a popular character, who doesn't like goffic lesbians?

Now there are some parts I need to fix.
The main thing I need to fix is the shorts. My hips are huge compared to the rest of my body, so my shirts kept riding up and I was constantly pulling them down. The whole time, my ass felt like it was hanging out. I want to make my own pair with a high waist that'll be hidden by the hoodie.
I also had a problem with my wig. Roxy has short blonde pigtails, but I only agreed to do the costume if I didn't have to buy a wig, so I just used a blonde wig I already had. This problem will be mostly solved soon because I already have short hair, and I'm already planning to grow my bangs out and go blonde. So hopefully this won't require a wig anymore.
Also I want better shoes and better socks. I saw a great pair of black high-top converse that were exactly like Roxy's in the first image I posted, but they're expensive. And I also want white socks with black stripes rather than black with white, but I've only seen them at American Apparel for $8 ffffffff.
Hopefully sometime in the nearby future I'll get to fix this costume up.
